Direct Wealth and Indirect Wealth?

Direct Wealth refers to a structure and stable sources of income. The most common source of direct Wealth relates to employment and very low-risk, consistent returns, such as rental or passive income from low-risk debt instruments.

Indirect Wealth represents unexpected income, windfalls, and opportunities that arise from high-risk ventures. Unlike Direct Wealth, which is associated with steady and predictable income streams, Indirect Wealth thrives on spontaneity, flexibility, and the ability to seize opportunities.

Some classify business and entrepreneurship as indirect Wealth. However, income streams from different business natures are considerably different. Imagine you are a landlord, and the business derives income from rent compared to other business owners who need to exercise speculations and take calculated risks. By strict definition, most business endeavors would comprise both direct and indirect wealth, with varying mixes of each.

Why Indirect Wealth?

Lottery tickets? That is one of the first associations we have when we mention or cover the topic of indirect wealth with our clients. While indirect wealth is unexpected wealth, windfalls, and income, this amount is usually substantial and may offer breakthroughs in Wealth for a person. The flow of Wealth may be significant and could present itself in many forms. It could be through unexpected financial opportunities, a massive contract for one's business, a lottery, a game of luck, or investment gains.

Indirect Wealth, Unexpected Windfall
Unexpected Windfall?

Many think that having Indirect Wealth luck is the shortcut to life. Well, if everyone's indirect wealth luck can be amplified to that extent, we will activate it for ourselves first! That being said, indirect Wealth may or may not be prevalent based on your Bazi, Feng Shui, or other form of Metaphysics interpretation.

Wealth luck, both direct Wealth and indirect Wealth, still abides to the cosmic trinity concept. A portion is predetermined by your Bazi Four pillars; a portion is determined by your effort in making that happen; and finally, the last portion is affected by the environment, which includes Feng Shui.

Everyone loves a stroke of a sudden and unexpected windfall. While that is true, we feel the most important reason for activating an indirect wealth aspect of life is it could be a gateway to Wealth. Seizing this opportunity could be life-changing and offer the chance to reach the pinnacle of life. Notice the words "could" and "opportunity"; having luck with indirect wealth may be the gateway, but if you lack the character and aptitude to manage this wealth, "Square One" may be waiting for you.

Indirect Wealth - Bazi Reading and Feng Shui

A Bazi Chart will be able to deduce a person's direct and indirect wealth luck. Through the identification of indirect wealth stars, detailed analysis of a person's Bazi chart, 10-year luck pillar, and complimenting or conflicting stars, a Bazi Analysis will be able to accurately decipher a person's luck. Do not be confused about Direct Resources (正财) or Indirect Resources (偏财). While direct resources and indirect resources may offer some clues to one's direct and indirect wealth luck, they are overly simplified interpretations of a Bazi Chart / Birth chart.

For Feng Shui, a Feng Shui Consultant will evaluate a person's residence to identify indirect wealth sectors with a congregation of auspicious energies. Activating the indirect wealth sectors is likely to bring about an increase in personal wealth luck. In other instances, if you are a business owner or have control over your business premises, commercial Feng Shui can also be applied in your business compound to elevate the indirect wealth aspects of your businesses.

How do I identify my Indirect Wealth sector?

Similar to a personalised Bazi consultation, knowing the indirect wealth sector of a residence is not a one-fit-all formula. There are common sayings that for direct Wealth, the diagonal corner upon opening your main door will be the direct wealth sector. There are also common generic formulas for identifying indirect wealth direction. While there is some basis to it, this method is usually superficial. It does not truly recognize the true strength and impact of each area.

There are a few key aspects to consider. In pure, simple terms, the indirect wealth luck of a house depends on its layout, direction, environment, the Bazi of the occupants, and the furnishings (renovation, furniture).

A good Feng Shui Master will consider all 5 key aspects before making the analysis and recommendations.

Another important aspect of a Feng Shui consultation (in relation to wealth luck) is also to negate the negative energy in inauspicious sectors or the negative wealth luck period of the occupant. We believe that Feng Shui is able to make good times better and cushion the fall of bad ones. It is also common for Feng Shui Masters to inspect the house for areas of bad luck, introducing cures for the avoidance of wealth leakage (漏财, 不守财). Sometimes, Feng Shui can only reduce the intensity (aka damage control) if such a reading is present in your Bazi Four Pillars chart. So turning things around may take both Feng Shui and personal effort for it to work.

In essence, a Feng Shui consultation seeks to build on the good areas, suggest cures for sectors with negative energy, and ensure a general balance of energy within the living space.

Activating my Indirect Wealth sector

There are many ways to activate the indirect wealth sector. At Moon Feng Shui, we recommend using a hidden Vase. The shape, color, and content of the vase are critical and will be determined based on many factors, which include the direction, the elemental requirements, and, of course, the Bazi of the occupant. As much as possible, this vase will be hidden from plain sight, symbolizing 暗财 or 偏财 luck.

Of course, although that may be one of our most potent activations for indirect wealth sectors, other alternatives exist, such as crystal (especially golden rutilated quartz), wealth bowl, or even Thangkas drawings.

Indirect Wealth - Seizing the opportunity when it arrives

Look at successful people (in terms of Wealth); they usually do not have a substantial period of indirect wealth luck. Instead, these successful people are well-prepared and patient and invest heavily in personal development (knowledge, relationships, character). Upon the arrival of wealth, usually via a form of opportunity, they are quick to turn this luck into something sustainable.

Indirect Wealth or opportunity is only for those who are prepared. If, in your financial pursuits, you lack the knowledge and character to sustain this personal Wealth, you will likely be unable to handle the financial matters.

At Moon FengShui, we provide Feng Shui Consultation for residential and commercial premises. We believe in the concept of cosmic trinity and how Feng Shui principles can increase one's indirect wealth luck.
